Senior Sales Associate – Inside Sales

- Achieving growth and hitting sales targets for Sage Journals in the defined territory (South & East India – Inside Sales & SAARC Countries (Bangladesh and Sri Lanka).
- Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analysing performance data, and projecting future performance.
- Generate leads and build and nurture client relationships.
- You will be responsible for meeting the annual revenue target for Sage Journals for traditional & bundled subscription across Social sciences/S&T & Medical journals segments in South & East – Inside Sales, SAARC Countries (Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) and will share all the developments and reports to your line manager.
- In individual capacity you will be responsible to generate revenue in South & East – Inside Sales through telephonic & email communication from renewal, retrieval & new customers.
- You will be responsible for setting annual sales targets for your region. The sales year runs from 1st January to 31st December.
- You will be responsible for developing and implementing new sales initiatives & strategies to capture key demographics (New market segment for existing product line or a new Sales strategy for an existing Market Segment)
- Engage with Deemed and Private Universities, as well as Private Engineering Colleges, by offering customized collections, generating new leads and business opportunities through calling and emailing.
- You will submit a weekly/monthly report to your line Manager featuring the highlights of the week. This will include promotions made and orders secured; collections; follow up of outstanding payments; Tour plans and any administrative matter that may arise. The report shall also highlight any deviations from planned activities along with reasons for the said deviations.
You will conduct user awareness programmes periodically to generate usage of Sage resources amongst researchers, scholars, and faculty of the subscribing institutions through training department team.
In addition to the above you will also be responsible for the following functions:
You will be responsible for the proper upkeep of the office including all Company's assets.
- You will supervise and be responsible for the computer software and hardware maintenance, including upkeep and servicing of the same.
You will undertake any other work assigned to you by your seniors.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree/Master's degree
- 2-3 years of Inside sales experience in the Publishing industry preferably.
- Excellent Communication and negotiation skills.
- The ability to build relationships with customers through tele calling and emails
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
Linguistics (English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu)
