We're currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President - Data Scientist - Hybrid. In this role, you're expected to:

Citi Analytics & Information Management (AIM) team is a global community that objectively connects and analyzes information to create actionable intelligence for our business leaders. It identifies fact-based opportunities for revenue growth and expense reduction in partnership with the businesses.

We are seeking a Vice President, Data Scientist, as an individual contributor role focusing on the development and deployment of advanced Machine Learning and Deep Learning models.This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving innovation within our analytics and technology divisions.

This role requires a strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Incumbents work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies

  • Identifies and compiles data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes

  • Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis; which may include utilizing statistical models / algorithms and data visualization techniques

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in Analytics/ Data Scientist in the financial services industry

  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and natural language generation (NLG).

  • Working experience in a quantitative field, Financial/Credit Card industry

  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying complex machine learning and deep learning models in a production environmentparticularly using RAG frameworks

  • Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. 

  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, and adaptive to matrix work environment

Education:

  • Master's/Bachelor's/PhD degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or a related quantitative field; Engineering/MBA background from a premier institute
