DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE :-

  • Diploma or equivalent in Engineering or Drafting.
  • 4–6 years of structural drafting experience in the Marine and Offshore sectors.
  • Strong command of AutoCAD is essential.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as CADMATIC (or equivalent) is a significant advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of marine and offshore materials, industry standards, and fabrication processes.
  • Experience in generating MTOs, CNC files, and nesting drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding and structural fabrication standards.
  • Fair understanding of other engineering disciplines will be considered an asset.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:-

  • Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, detail drawings, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Generate Material Take-Offs (MTOs) from GA and detailed drawings for procurement purposes.
  • Extract shop drawings from 3D models and ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Develop CNC programs for plate and profile cutting and prepare plate/profile nesting drawings.
  • Update basic scantling plans based on 3D modeling outputs.
  • Ensure drawings comply with relevant marine and offshore industry standards and terminologies.
  • Work on structural detailing of marine vessels, including oil tankers, jack-up rigs, offshore jackets, and platforms.
  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure drawings meet production requirements.
  • Understand and incorporate welding standards, structural shapes/profiles, and material specifications.
  • Interpret project specifications and standards to ensure quality and consistency in design deliverables.
  • Contribute to the preparation of detailed engineering drawings for use in fabrication and construction.
  • To comply with all QHSE rules and regulations of the Company.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong technical drafting skills with the ability to manage multiple drawing packages.
  • Good understanding of international classification society standards (ABS, DNV, BV, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret complex specifications and translate them into practical designs.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking ability in design coordination
