Roles and Responsibilities

Design & Drafting:

  • Prepare P&ID (Process Diagrams) and plant layouts.
  • Develop equipment GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • Create detailed structural and foundation drawings.
  • Prepare plate cutting layout drawings.
  • Develop detailed mechanical schematics using AutoCAD and create 2D/3D models.
  • Update and revise existing drawings to reflect design changes and improvements.

Technical Support & Documentation:

  • Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) for raw materials, piping, fittings, structural steel, and accessories.
  • Estimate costs for turnkey plant projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations during the design and drafting process.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare datasheets for equipment, pumps, and accessories.
  • Maintain accurate records of drafts, revisions, and final drawings.
  • Compile technical documentation and reports as required.

Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and specification compliance.
  • Conduct field visits to gather measurements and validate designs.
  • Ensure all designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.

Project Coordination & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the engineering team and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to address design-related inquiries.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and execution with technical inputs.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Suggest design improvements for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest drafting tools, engineering standards, and industry practices.
