Job Title: Manager Procurement (Raw Materials)

Experience: 12 to 15 years

Location: Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the procurement of raw materials including Iron Ore (Lumps/Pellets), Imported and Indian Steam Coal, Dolomite, Sponge Iron, Imported and Domestic Scrap (for SMS and Foundry), and SMS/Foundry production consumables.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement aligned with production requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitor market trends and raw material pricing to identify opportunities and risks for the business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as production, quality, and logistics to streamline procurement processes and address operational challenges.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring adherence to compliance and best practices in procurement.
  • Manage procurement budgets and ensure alignment with company financial goals.
  • Oversee vendor development and qualification processes for critical raw materials.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years and up to 12 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in the steel manufacturing or heavy industry sector.
  • Strong expertise in procuring Iron Ore, Coal (Imported and Domestic), Dolomite, Sponge Iron, Scrap, and related consumables for SMS and Foundry operations.
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
