Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Developer

Location: Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad — India

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to own and drive the architecture, development, and delivery of complex ServiceNow-based solutions. You will be a key technical lead on ServiceNow projects—working across modules such as ITSM, CMDB, and Service Catalog—and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and future-ready workflows. Your deep platform knowledge and development skills will help accelerate digital transformation and automation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and configuration of ServiceNow applications, modules, and enhancements.
  • Build and maintain client and server-side scripts, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, and Flow Designer automations.
  • Architect and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs or IntegrationHub.
  • Develop and extend Service Catalog, CMDB, Incident / Change / Problem workflows and other ITSM modules.
  • Create and enforce security and access controls, including ACLs, domain separation, and role-based permissions. SmartRecruiters
  • Lead performance optimizations: troubleshoot slow scripts, tune business rules, and optimize instances.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level ServiceNow developers through code reviews, design discussions, and best practices.
  • Participate in platform upgrades, patches, and version management, ensuring stability and compatibility. SmartRecruiters
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specs, integration maps, deployment guides, and testing artifacts.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum environments: contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demos.
  • Stay up-to-date with ServiceNow platform enhancements, new releases, best practices, and make recommendations for adoption.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform in a development role.
  • Excellent scripting skills in JavaScript / Glide API and custom development on ServiceNow. Expertia

  • Proven experience in integrations (REST, SOAP) to/from ServiceNow.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model, CMDB, and ITSM modules (Incident, Change, Service Catalog) Expertia
  • Experience with performance tuning, script optimization, and instance stability.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow security: ACLs, roles, domain separation.
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience creating design / technical specifications.
  • Good communication skills to work with stakeholders, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer, System Administrator). SmartRecruiters

  • Familiarity with Automated Test Framework (ATF) or unit test frameworks for ServiceNow.
  • Experience in ITOM modules (Discovery, Event Management) or custom scoped applications.
  • Prior exposure to instance governance, upgrade strategies, and large-scale implementations.

Pay: ₹950, ₹1,250,000.00 per year
