Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager - Hygiene is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety across the resort. This role ensures compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, while supporting the resort's commitment to excellence in guest experience and operational quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular hygiene inspections across all operational areas, including kitchens, restaurants, housekeeping zones, staff facilities, and public areas.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with HACCP, FSSAI, and other statutory hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Liaise with all departments to implement and maintain hygiene SOPs across guest and back-of-house areas.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Housekeeping for pest control, water quality checks, waste disposal, and overall hygiene maintenance.
  • Review and verify personal hygiene practices of all operational staff, particularly F&B production and housekeeping teams.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and reports of hygiene audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Train employees on hygiene protocols, food safety, infection control measures, and personal cleanliness.
  • Investigate any hygiene-related complaints or health incidents and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and labs for food sampling, water testing, and pest control certification.
  • Submit regular reports and hygiene performance updates to the Resort Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate in Home Science/BSC in Microbiology or Food Technology
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food & beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI regulations, and resort hygiene best practices.
