We are looking for a highly skilled
Java + GCP Developer
to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in
Java, Spring Boot, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
, with proven experience in designing and implementing
event-driven and near real-time data solutions
. This role requires deep technical knowledge, hands-on development experience, and the ability to support production systems in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and review technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Develop, review, and optimize high-quality, scalable, and efficient code.
  • Execute project-specific development tasks following coding standards and best practices.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain development environments on GCP.
  • Deliver projects within committed timelines while ensuring quality and performance standards.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of solutions and delivery on
    GCP Payments Data Platform
    .
  • Provide production support as part of the
    GCP 24x7 on-call support rota (once a month)
    .
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to team deliverables.
  • Support developed code in production by following
    DevOps and Agile best practices
    .

Technical Skills – Must Have

  • Strong hands-on experience in
    Java and Spring Boot
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    , especially:
  • Pub/Sub
  • Dataflow (Apache Beam)
  • BigQuery
  • Bigtable
  • Cloud Storage Buckets
  • Experience managing
    large-scale databases
    and handling massive datasets.
  • Strong knowledge of
    event-driven architectures
    and
    near real-time data patterns
    (Ingress | Egress).
  • Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.

Technical Skills – Good to Have

  • Basic understanding of the
    Payments domain
    (e.g., ISO message standards).
  • Knowledge of
    Shell scripting and Python
    .
  • Familiarity with
    CI/CD pipelines
    ,
    DevOps tools
    , and
    Git
    for version control.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Clear and effective communication (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work under pressure, especially during high-priority production issues.
  • Flexible and adaptable to dynamic project requirements.
  • Strong team player with proactive contribution in collaborative environments.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to provide
    on-call support once a month
    as part of the GCP 24x7 support rota.
  • Ability to work in an Agile setup and contribute effectively to iterative development cycles.
