Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java-based microservices using frameworks like Spring Boot.
  • Implement and manage Apache Kafka for messaging, event streaming, and real-time data processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, testers, and product owners to define and deliver scalable software solutions.
  • Build RESTful APIs and ensure smooth integration between services.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance bottlenecks and code issues.
  • Participate in code reviews for quality assurance and mentoring junior developers.
  • Ensure CI/CD pipeline integration and follow DevOps best practices.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and evolving technologies in microservices and Kafka.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-8 years (varies by level) of hands-on Java development experience.
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying microservices architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for message brokering and stream processing.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in agile teams.

Desired Skills

  • Expertise in Java 8+ and Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is favorable.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture and service mesh technologies.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with Git version control and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
