GCP devops Engineer:

Key Responsibilities

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to automate the software release process.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources using tools like Terraform.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure cloud-native infrastructure on GCP.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and optimize cloud resources for cost, performance, and scalability using tools like Stackdriver.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including IAM policies, network security, and data encryption.
  • Collaboration & Automation: Bridge the gap between development and operations, automating repetitive tasks and improving workflows.
  • Disaster Recovery: Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies for critical systems and data.

Required Skills and Tools

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Deep understanding of GCP services.
  • CI/CD Tools: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Cloud Build, or other CI/CD tools.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, Ansible, or other IaC tools.
  • Container Technologies: Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes (especially Google Kubernetes Engine - GKE).
  • Version Control: Proficient use of Git and Git workflows.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or GCP's Stackdriver.
  • Programming/Scripting: Skills in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile environment. Role & responsibilities
