The DAV Group - Chennai, functioning under the aegis of Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society was established in 1970 at Gopalapuram in Chennai with just 50 students. The Group today, caters to over 40,000 students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It has a staff of 1500 plus which includes 1,200 teachers. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 15 schools in the country.
In addition to K-12 schooling, DAV has recently ventured into Higher Education with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science at Kelambakkam, Chennai.
The Creative Manager leads and oversees the entire creative function. Responsible for creative vision, team leadership, ensuring that all creative outputs (print, digital, video, branding etc.) are high‑quality, on brand, and delivered on time. Acts as bridge between creative staff and other departments to ensure alignment of creative work with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the creative team (designers, illustrators, copywriters, motion graphic/video teams etc.).
- Develop creative strategy and visual storytelling in line with brand identity and organizational goals.
- Oversee end‑to‑end creative process—from concept / brief to final delivery.
- Approve, review, and provide constructive feedback on creative work, ensuring consistency, quality, and brand compliance.
- Work with marketing, product, operations, and other stakeholders to understand creative requirements and translate them into actionable deliverables.
- Manage multiple projects / campaigns simultaneously; prioritize work, set deadlines, monitor progress.
- Stay updated with design, digital, and media trends; introduce new tools, techniques or workflows to improve creativity and efficiency.
- Maintain brand guidelines / style guides; ensure all content across platforms adheres to them.
- Oversee the creation of a variety of content formats: static graphics, video / motion graphics, social media content, print collateral, presentations etc.
- Collaborate with external vendors/freelancers where necessary; manage external proofing, production etc.
- Ensure that creative assets support the organizational communication and marketing strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Advertising, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven 5‑7 years (or more) experience in creative roles; at least 2‑3 years in a leadership / managerial role. (Can adjust based on seniority expectations.)
- Strong portfolio showing work across multiple media: print, digital, video/motion graphics, branding.
Skills & Requisites
- Proficiency in design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; plus video / motion tools like Premiere, After Effects etc.).
- Excellent communication skills — to present ideas, give feedback, collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership & people‑management skills: mentoring, team building, performance management.
- Good project management ability: planning, organizing resources, meeting deadlines, managing budgets.
- Creative problem‑solving mindset; able to innovate and adapt.Attention to detail, consistency, brand alignment.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
Salary shall commensurate with experience
