Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts and financial statements.
  • Review financial documents and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee tax filings and ensure compliance with tax laws, including GST and TDS.
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing and payment management.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cost analysis activities.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and support the audit process.
  • Provide timely financial information and insights to management to support informed business decisions.
  • Stay updated with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 3-15 years, depending on the specific role like Junior, Senior, etc.) in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and potentially IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) if applicable to the company's operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external parties.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
