Roles & responsibilities
Role Overview: Play a role of Data Architect, designs and manages centralized, end-to-end data architecture solutions. A senior data engineer should be responsible for design and implementation of scalable, audit-focused data integration solutions by leveraging JD Edwards ERP, cloud-based ETL tools like Informatica Cloud and Azure Data Factory, and collaborating with global teams to deliver secure, high-performance financial data workflows. Ability to translate stakeholder or business requirements into well- structured design/technical documents for data lineage, data pipeline and analytics.
The Senior Associate 2 will be responsible for:
Development
·Serve as the technical lead for JD Edwards ERP data acquisition and transformation workstreams. Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, and functional SMEs to deliver high-quality solutions.
·Design and implement integrations between JDE and external systems using JDE Orchestrator, BSSV, and other middleware tools.
·Proficient in Azure Cloud technologies in performing data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) also providing technical guidance on debugging of errors/issues in the process.
·Build and manage integrations between JDE and cloud platforms like Azure/Informatica.
·Transform and load JDE data into cloud data lakes or warehouses (e.g., Azure Data Lake,)
·Collaborate with data engineering teams to automate ETL pipelines using tools like, Azure Data Factory, or Informatica.
·Ensure data quality, security, and compliance during extraction and transformation processes.
·Contribute to enhancements in the Data Acquisition Workbench, including performance improvements, automation. Support initiatives in data governance and quality management
·Develop and implement data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across various audit datasets coming from multiple sources using Azure cloud applications..
·Actively participate in the design, development and implementation of fixes and enhancements to existing modules or new modules.
·Develop high-level technical specifications, solution design, build and implement fixes and enhancements to existing modules or new modules. Collaborate with different departments/teams to meet their data needs.
·Identify opportunities for improvement, propose enhancements to existing systems, and explore new techniques by leveraging AI/ Gen AI.
JDE certification(s) is a plus.
Execution
·Adherence to Agile methodologies and ensuring that projects follow Agile principles and practices for successful project delivery, emphasizing flexibility, collaboration, and customer satisfaction.
·Familiarity with JDE modules such as Finance, Distribution, Manufacturing, or HR.
·Collaborate with onshore stakeholders (Global Team) on implementing new versions, tools, and best practices in data extraction and analytics.
·Take functional ownership across all stages of routine/tool development as required.
·Develop data transformations using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or Python, including handling data mapping changes and customizations with PySpark.
·Debug, optimize, and performance-tune large data sets; resolve issues with minimal guidance and propose solutions.
·Reconcile data from multiple sources and layers to ensure integrity and completeness.
·Maintain accurate project status for self and assigned team members.
·Prepare and review project documentation with attention to detail.
·Coach team members on Azure best practices and enable them to handle low/medium complexity tasks.
·Scrum or Agile certification is a plus.
Lead projects –
•Lead / participate in firm's strategic initiatives and/or corporate social responsibility programs
•Experience working in leading audit firms with proven project management skills — managing teams on multiple projects in client-facing roles
•Drive ideas related to efficiencies, compliance and projects
•Sound understanding of various internal frameworks and guidelines; ensuring adherence of self and team

·6+ years of total IT Experience in ETL, Databricks and Microsoft Azure
·Strong expertise in ERP systems, including their implementation and design principles. Familiarity with the Financial module is essential.
·Proficient in Database architecture and data modeling
·Experience in building ETL/ELT processes and Data Ingestion/Data Migration.
·Should be able to monitor, troubleshoot and optimize the performance of Databricks notebooks, Azure Data Factory and Synapse workloads.
·Must have Hands-on experience on Azure Cloud Services: (Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Logic Apps & Function Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL DB, Azure Data Factory)
·Must have strong knowledge on Python and PySpark, should have ability to write PySpark scripts for developing data workflows and debugging.
·Must have experience in concepts like Partitioning, optimization, and performance tuning.
·Any experience on Visualization tools or Power Apps is an added advantage
·Experience in writing SQL queries and/or database management skills in Oracle/SQL server. Data warehousing working knowledge is preferred
