Role: Citrix VDI Administrator Experience: 4 to 8 years Location: Chennai, India Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled Citrix VDI Administrator with expertise in Windows and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) environments. The ideal candidate will manage and support a Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment, ensuring high availability, performance, automation, and security. The role also includes automation using Ansible and Linux server management with Foreman/RH Satellite.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Citrix VDI Administration: Manage and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) for Windows and Linux-based VDI instances. Configure and troubleshoot Citrix Studio, Citrix Director, Citrix StoreFront, and Citrix Gateway (NetScaler).

Implement and optimize Citrix profile management, session policies, and user experience settings. Perform VDI image creation, patching, and updates for Windows and Linux environments. 2. Linux System Administration (RHEL, Ubuntu): Manage and troubleshoot RHEL and Ubuntu-based Citrix VDI instances.

Configure and optimize Linux OS performance in a virtualized environment. Implement and manage patching, security updates, and compliance using Foreman/RH Satellite. Troubleshoot kernel, networking, and application-level issues in Linux VDIs.

3. Automation & Configuration Management: Automate Citrix VDI provisioning and management using Ansible and PowerShell. Deploy and manage Linux configurations using Ansible Playbooks. Integrate Foreman/RH Satellite for centralized Linux system management.

Optimize Citrix session policies, load balancing, and performance tuning. 4. Security & Compliance: Implement Citrix security best practices, including SSL certificates, MFA, and endpoint security. Harden Windows and Linux VDI instances to comply with security and compliance standards.

Ensure ITIL-based change and incident management practices are followed. 5. Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Level 2/3 support for Citrix VDI and Linux-related issues. Troubleshoot user login issues, application failures, ICA/HDX connectivity problems, and resource allocation.

Work closely with network, storage, and security teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues. Engage with Citrix and Red Hat support for escalated issues. Required Skills & Experience: Technical Skills: Citrix VDI: Strong knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), StoreFront, Citrix Gateway (NetScaler), Citrix Director.

Windows & Linux: Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022. Linux (RHEL 7/8/9, Ubuntu 20.04/ Linux Management Tools: Foreman/RH Satellite for centralized Linux patching and lifecycle management.

Ansible for configuration automation and server provisioning. Hypervisor: Experience with Nutanix AHV (preferred), VMware ESXi, or Hyper-V. Networking & Security: Understanding of ICA/HDX protocols, firewall rules, SSL certificates, MFA, and Citrix security policies.

Scripting & Automation: Experience in PowerShell, Ansible, and Citrix SDK for automation. Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Familiarity with Citrix Director, Citrix ADM, Splunk, or other monitoring tools. Work Model: Location: Chennai, India (Onsite/Hybrid as per project requirements).

Shifts: Rotational support with on-call responsibilities for critical incidents.
