Role: Junior Software Test Engineer

Description:

Core activities to be performed as follows: (What will you do?)

• Be part of kick-off, understanding the delivery expectations
• Good in collaborating with leads towards working on Agile-SCRUM or Incremental/Iterative approaches
• Should be familiar with hands-on programming experience using Java/Selenium/Python stack

o Working on inhouse Automation Framework for Authoring Test scripts

o Authoring Automation Scripts with Selenium or any relevant Automation Tool

o Understanding of Web/ Mobile Application in Identifying the Locators

o Conducting the test execution activity on the projects

• Test Implementation of any new features or CR's based on Project needs
• Hands-on test execution involvement
• As a Quality Engineer, understand the technical stack and technology powering the application
• Should hold good knowledge in test automation/programming and leverage for time-sensitive delivery note, repetitive regression releases

Must Have

Desired Skills: (What you have?)

• Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
• Interpret the requirements (FRS/BRD/User Story) and derive required test scenario or cases
• Review of understanding with Senior testers/Senior leads
• Conducting test execution as per the defined requirements; if not leverage exploratory requirements
• Logging of defects and troubleshooting
• Strong Coding Skills either Java/Python

o Proven ability to work as an independent tester in a collaborative, trusted fast-paced environment with excellent debugging skills

o Experience in Implementing integrations, continuous testing/integrations

o Exposure to Agile Methodology

o Good Knowledge in Web services and API Testing

• Hands on test case design, creation and execution of quality assurance testing, provide oversight of business user acceptance testing

• 0 to 1 years of experience (Graduate in Engineering/Post Graduate in Engg/Science) in the following areas

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate technical information as part of software requirement analysis
• Keen sense of ownership
• Good team player with the ability to stretch (time-wise) when required
• Willing to work in high-pressure environment
• Skills in test execution and debugging (or) trouble-shooting within a multi-tasking environment
• Must be flexible, independent, and self-motivated
• Exposure to mobility space, testing of apps
• Conversant in defect reporting with clear articulation
• Good knowledge on UNIX/SQL
• Good programming skills preferably in Java
