Role Overview

We are seeking a
Senior Software Engineer
with 8–10 years of experience in
financial services, fintech, blockchain, and crypto solutions
, backend systems, and distributed applications. This is a hands-on role suited for a technologist who thrives on coding, system design, and performance optimization.

Work timings:
3pm-12am IST, Monday–Friday (aligned to global teams; remote WFH may be considered on a case-by-case basis)

Key Responsibilities

·      Design, build, and maintain high-performance distributed applications in trading, risk, data-intensive domains, and fintech/crypto platforms.

·      Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions.

·      Design and optimize event-driven and real-time systems (Kafka, Snowflake, streaming APIs).

·      Implement scalable solutions with a focus on latency reduction, throughput optimization, and fault tolerance.

·      Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL) to ensure reliability and performance.

·      Deploy applications on cloud-native platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.

·      Deliver capital markets applications (trading, loan management, reconciliation, risk) across global teams.

·     Implement cloud-native architectures (microservices, containerization, orchestration).

·      Integrate with streaming/event-driven systems (Kafka, Snowflake, APIs).

·      Ensure data quality, monitoring, and observability across systems.

·      Collaborate with global teams on end-to-end delivery, including CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

·      Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business goals and technical delivery.

·      Mentor junior engineers, review designs, and promote best practices in software/data engineering.

Required Skills

·      8–10 years' experience in enterprise software engineering, with 3–4 years in technical design.

·      Strong programming expertise in Java, Python (Django, Celery, task queues), C++.

·      Solid knowledge of distributed systems, multithreading, and performance tuning.

·      Containerization, Docker, Kubernetes

·      Experience with Kafka, Redis, DynamoDB, or similar technologies.

·      Strong SQL and database optimization experience (Postgres, MSSQL, Oracle).

·      Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (Elastic APM, DataDog, etc.)

·      Familiarity with cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Good to Have

·      Work experience in stock/emerging exchanges: Kraken, Binance, EDX, Swan, Archax, IEX, MEMX, etc.

·      Experience in ad-tech, trading systems, or loan/trade lifecycle platforms.

·      Exposure to AI/ML workflows or event-sourcing.

·      Exposure to regulatory technology projects (reconciliation, data quality, BCBS 239).

·      Familiarity with front-end technologies (ReactJS, Angular, TypeScript).

Awareness/Domain Exposure

·      Compliance operations – KYC/AML, Transaction monitoring, etc

·      CX Operations – Onboarding support, KYC, Trading Experience, Dispute resolution, payments & withdrawals
