About the Role

This role belongs to a finance champion who can turn ledgers into insights and numbers into stories. You will oversee complete accounting operations, ensure full compliance, manage audits, and strengthen financial controls for a rapidly growing FMCG business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end accounting operations including AP, AR, GST, TDS, payroll, reconciliations and month-end closures

  • Drive cost control, margin analysis and profitability reporting across SKUs, channels and regions
  • Prepare accurate MIS reports, P&L statements, cash flow, inventory and working capital reports for management review
  • Coordinate statutory, internal and tax audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Oversee process improvements, automation initiatives and strong internal controls
  • Liaise with banks, external partners and government departments for smooth financial operations
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
  • Monitor distributor claims, schemes, credit notes and ensure timely settlements
  • Guide and mentor the accounting team to deliver high-quality finance outputsRequirements
  • CA / CMA preferred or M.Com / MBA Finance with strong FMCG finance exposure
  • Proven expertise in AP/AR and inventory-linked accounting
  • Solid knowledge of GST, TDS, FMCG trade finance, schemes and deductions
  • Strong command of MS Excel and accounting software (Tally Prime, ERP systems)
  • Analytical thinking with high attention to detail, accuracy and speed
  • Ability to handle pressure, deadlines and multi-city operations
