Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a UI/UX Intern located in Bengaluru. The UI/UX Intern will be responsible for creating mock-ups, visual designs, and prototypes. They will also assist in front-end development and user experience design, collaborating with team members to enhance the usability and functionality of our products. Daily tasks will include developing user-cantered designs, conducting user research, and creating wireframes and prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.

What You'll Do

Design & Prototyping

  • Create high-fidelity mock-ups, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
  • Develop visual designs that align with cybersecurity industry standards and accessibility guidelines
  • Build clickable prototypes to test and validate design concepts

User Experience Research

  • Conduct user research to understand cybersecurity professional workflows and pain points
  • Analyse user feedback and behavioural data to inform design decisions
  • Create user personas, journey maps, and usability testing scenarios

Front-End Collaboration

  • Work closely with developers to ensure design feasibility and implementation accuracy
  • Assist in front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Participate in design system development and maintenance

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cybersecurity experts
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders
  • Iterate on designs based on technical constraints and business requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in design tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Sketch
  • Strong visual design skills with attention to typography, colour theory, and layout
  • Experience creating wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes
  • Understanding of user-cantered design principles and methodologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities

Technical Skills

  • Basic front-end development knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles
  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects with clear design process documentation
  • Experience with user research methods (interviews, surveys, usability testing)
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and enterprise software design
  • Experience with prototyping tools (InVision, Principle, Framer)
  • Understanding of agile development processes
  • Previous internship or project experience in B2B or enterprise software
