Role Summary

We are seeking a
Legal Associate (Corporate Role)
to support Opptra's legal operations and expansion strategy. This role is essential in ensuring that our global growth remains
fast, compliant, capital-efficient, and risk-managed
.

You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, providing proactive legal guidance to enable smooth brand entry and sustainable growth across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up and managing legal entities across jurisdictions (incorporation, foreign investment, and compliance).
  • Support legal compliance across corporate governance, commercial contracts, product regulations, IP, and employment law.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, distributors, partners, and franchisees.
  • Collaborate in building legal frameworks for rapid international expansion.
  • Coordinate with external counsel and consultants across different markets.
  • Contribute to implementing legal technology tools for compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide legal insights to business teams, acting as a proactive enabler of growth.

Experience & Skills

  • Multi-Country Exposure:
    3–5+ years of legal experience across India, GCC, and/or Southeast Asia, with proven expertise in entity setup and regulatory navigation.
  • Domain Knowledge:
    Strong foundation in corporate law, contracts, franchise/licensing, IP, employment law, and company secretarial matters.
  • Growth-Stage Experience:
    Hands-on exposure to building and scaling legal processes in fast-growing organizations.
  • External Counsel Management:
    Experience coordinating with and managing outside counsel efficiently.
  • Tech-Enabled Mindset:
    Familiarity with contract management systems, compliance monitoring, or AI-driven legal tools.
  • Cross-Functional Skills:
    Strong collaboration and communication across non-legal teams (finance, supply chain, product, marketing).
  • Professional Integrity:
    High ethical standards, sound judgment, and ability to be a trusted advisor to leadership.
