Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and cost-conscious Procurement In-charge to oversee the local sourcing of Automotive spare parts and materials for our Pan Afrique Motors Division. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely procurement, vendor development, and cost optimization while coordinating closely with internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Local Sourcing & Vendor Development

·      Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with reliable local vendors and manufacturers.

·      Assess vendors based on quality, pricing, lead time, and reliability.

·      Maintain a robust database of alternate suppliers to reduce dependency on high-cost sources.

2. Cross-Country Coordination

·      Consolidate procurement requirements from teams across operating countries.

·      Prioritize local sourcing to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.

·      Coordinate logistics and shipping of goods to international teams.

3. Negotiation & Cost Optimization

·      Negotiate favorable pricing and payment terms with suppliers.

·      Benchmark market prices to ensure competitive procurement.

·      Explore cost-effective alternatives to avoid overpriced purchases.

4. Order Management & Delivery Oversight

·      Issue purchase orders and follow up with vendors for timely dispatch.

·      Track shipments and ensure proper documentation for cross-border transfers.

·      Address and resolve discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, or quality with suppliers.

5. Reporting & Documentation

·      Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing trends, and supplier performance.

·      Prepare regular procurement reports and cost-saving analyses for management.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

·      Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

· years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations.

·      Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.

·      Analytical skills to interpret pricing data and make cost-effective decisions.

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic ERP systems.

Preferred Attributes:

·      Prior experience in the Automotive industry - parts procurement is highly desirable.

·      Familiarity with international logistics and cross-country procurement coordination.
