Role Overview:

Lead and develop quality assurance and control functions for advanced aerospace and space systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed quality best practices from concept to deployment, maintain rigorous certification standards, and mentor a high-impact team.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive overall QA & QC strategy for design, manufacturing, and testing of aerospace components.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, ECSS, and other relevant standards.
  • Implement quality metrics, KPIs, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Oversee supplier quality audits and testing protocols including vibration, thermal vacuum, and environmental assessments.
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits to uphold certifications.
  • Partner with engineering and program management teams on quality integration.
  • Lead and mentor an expert QA & QC team focused on innovation and accountability.
  • Utilize data-driven analysis to enhance quality and efficiency.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or Quality disciplines.
  • Retired/15+ years of QA/QC experience, including leadership within Aerospace/Satellite or similar high-reliability industries.
  • Demonstrated success managing quality systems for mission-critical products.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep knowledge of aerospace testing and regulatory compliance.
