We are searching for a Planning Specialist to join our team in Mining - Assembly Center, Hinjewadi Pune.

The role

Perform and ensure manufacturing planning & scheduling of the equipment and component to be manufactured. The person shall be responsible for Master planning and execution of the same in the manufacturing facility.

Areas of responsibility:-

  • Plan and prepare manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation.
  • Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions; includes estimating.
  • Analyse plant capacity and production requisition data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources; prepares production reports.
  • Analyse and monitor costs in relation manufacturing to ensure delivery and budget fulfilment
  • Master planning : In support with global order desk teams, ensure to have a 15 month rolling forecast planned. Share the master planning information with all cross functional team to plan the deliveries. 
  • MRP : Referring to the forecast, ensure MRP (Material Requirement Planning) runs are executed in SAP. Co-ordinate with the procurement team to ensure all the purchase orders are released onto the suppliers on time
  • Production Planning & Scheduling : Prepare a quarterly rolling production plan (with machine model numbers and respective assembly bay nos.).
  • BOM configuration : In accordance with the Engineering team, ensure BOM for each production order is prepared in SAP. Changes if any, need to be conveyed to the production and procurement team

Your profile

Education / Experience

Degree in Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial Engineering with a minimum 5-6 years' experience in Planning & Scheduling function in manufacturing industry.

Competencies

Hands on experience and knowledge on Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing processes  

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Project)

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, time management and planning skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Must be detail oriented, and perform well under pressure, if needed
