We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join the Nuevosol production team. The ideal

candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to

produce precision components used in our solar mounting systems. This role requires a

keen eye for detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to both quality and

safety in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Operation:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) based on work orders and engineering drawings.
  • Load materials, select tools, and input machine parameters to ensure accurate machining processes.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust processes as needed.

Quality Control & Inspection:

  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections, documenting results and making adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, machine settings, and production activities.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Report major mechanical problems to the maintenance team for further investigation.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Complete production logs, machine setup sheets, and maintenance records accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status, issues, and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.

Required Qualifications and Education:

  • Diploma/B. Tech in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical and technical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing seting.
