The group publishes a variety of publications, with the Malayala Manorama newspaper being the largest circulated and read regional language newspaper in the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI)
  • Build and maintain front‑end integrations and work with product/design teams to deliver user‑facing features.
  • Write clean, well‑documented, and testable code; implement unit and integration tests.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and contribute to technology decisions.
  • Debug, profile and improve application performance and reliability in production.
  • Integrate systems with databases, message queues and third‑party services; design data schemas and migrations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • B.Tech in Computer Science or MCA (mandatory).
  • 1 to 4 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in Python; hands‑on experience with Django, Flask or FastAPI frameworks.

  • Experience in frontend tools/libraries such as React and Vite, and backend technologies such as and
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and basic schema design.
  • Good problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills in English; ability to document technical designs clearly.

Preferred (nice to have)

  • Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and experience integrating ML models into applications.
  • Familiarity with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and caching layers (Redis).
  • Experience with front‑end technologies (React, ViteJS, , or Angular) for end‑to‑end delivery.
  • Prior experience working in media, publishing or high‑throughput content platforms.
