Responsibilities

  • Receipt inspection all the bought-out electrical items (cables, pendants, limit thruster brakes, VFDs. etc.)
  • Thorough testing of critical components such as motors of all types, geared brake control panels, E Rooms, etc.
  • Review of all the certificates and filing the same
  • Getting all instruments calibrated
  • Co-ordination with suppliers and laboratories
  • MIS up-dation supplier performance.
  • Analysis of establishing supplier controls and monitoring supplier performance
  • Continual improvements in the inspection processes

Knowledge Area

  • Good knowledge of the electrical components as mentioned above and relevant standards
  • Good handling regular measuring instruments such as tong tester, dB megger, HV tester, etc
  • Good knowledge electrical wiring diagram reading.

Additional knowledge of ISO 9K, HSE, 5S, Kaizen, etc will be an added advantage
