Key Responsibilities:

Azure Security Operations

  • Manage and monitor Microsoft Defender for Cloud (MDC) recommendations and security scores.
  • Analyze and remediate findings from Tenable / VAPT reports including OS-level and configuration vulnerabilities.
  • Operate and maintain Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) for threat detection, endpoint protection, and incident response.
  • Perform patch and configuration remediation activities on Windows and Linux servers.
  • Coordinate with platform, network, and application teams for closure of high and critical vulnerabilities.
  • Create automation scripts (PowerShell/Ansible) for repetitive remediation tasks.
  • Track and report vulnerability closure status and compliance posture to management.
  • Maintain baselines for server hardening (CIS/NIST) and ensure continuous compliance.Governance & Reporting
  • Maintain dashboards for security score trends, open vulnerabilities, and SLA adherence.
  • Participate in VAPT cycles, review findings, and drive timely remediation.
  • Document incident response actions, exceptions, and security improvement measures.
  • Work closely with SOC and Cloud Operations teams to improve detection and response coverage.

FinOps (Good to Have)

  • Assist in Azure Advisor / Cost Management reviews to identify cost inefficiencies related to unused resources or over-provisioning.
