The HR Tech Business Analyst is a critical, cross-functional role within the OneWriter Team, responsible for optimizing and transforming the Human Resources function through technology. This role serves as the primary liaison between the HR business units and the IT/Technology teams. The goal is to analyze current HR processes, elicit, document, and manage requirements for implementing, upgrading, and maintaining HR technology solutions (e.g., HRIS, Talent Management, Payroll, and L&D systems) to enhance employee experience, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making across the Writer Corporation's diverse business units.
Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements Elicitation & Analysis:
Work closely with HR stakeholders (Talent Acquisition, Payroll, L&D, HR Ops) to understand their operational challenges, strategic goals, and current processes.
Identify, document, and manage business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories for new and existing HR technology projects.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to support technology investment decisions.
Process Optimization & Solution Design:
Analyze and map current state ('As-Is') HR processes and design optimized future state ('To-Be') processes leveraging HR technology best practices.
Configure, test, and support the deployment of HR technology modules (e.g., HRIS, Performance Management systems).
Ensure all designed solutions comply with local labor laws, data privacy regulations, and internal governance standards.
Project Management & Implementation Support:
Support the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or Agile process, from design through deployment and post-implementation support.
Develop test plans, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and manage defects to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
Create and deliver training materials and user documentation for HR staff and end-users.
Data & Reporting:
Define HR reporting requirements, including key HR metrics and dashboards, and ensure the technology is configured to provide accurate and actionable data insights.
Assist in data migration and data integrity efforts related to HR systems.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically supporting HR Technology (HR Tech) or HRIS implementations.
Technical Expertise:
Proven experience with a major HRIS platform (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Workday, or similar enterprise HR software).
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Proficiency in data analysis and modeling tools (e.g., SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power BI/Tableau for reporting).
Core Competencies:
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language and vice versa.
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, capable of driving consensus across diverse teams.
A proactive, self-starter mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Certification such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or relevant HR Tech certification.
Experience with global HR processes and multi-country system rollouts.
Exposure to complementary technologies like Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or AI tools in the HR context.
