Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Backend Engineer (Golang)
to design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems. In this role, you will take ownership of backend services, APIs, and system architecture, working closely with product and frontend teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions in a fast-growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using
    Golang
  • Build and manage
    RESTful and gRPC APIs
    for scalable applications
  • Own features end-to-end, from design and development to production deployment
  • Architect scalable systems that evolve with business and product growth
  • Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to ship features rapidly
  • Optimize backend systems for
    performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement resilient solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code
  • Contribute to architectural and technical decisions as the platform scales

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of overall backend engineering experience
  • 3+ years of strong, hands-on experience with
    Golang
  • Proven experience building backend services and APIs from scratch
  • Strong understanding of databases such as
    PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, Redis
  • Solid knowledge of
    concurrency, performance optimization, and memory management
    in Go
  • Experience with
    microservices
    or
    modular monolith
    architectures
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a high sense of ownership

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as
    AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Hands-on experience with
    Docker
    and basic
    Kubernetes
    concepts
  • Experience with messaging systems like
    Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS
  • Familiarity with
    CI/CD pipelines
    and modern DevOps workflows
