Job description of Delivery Head

Position:
Delivery Head - India

Location
: Gurgaon

Role Summary:
This role involves full ownership of global product implementations at Prospecta, from project start to closure. The individual is responsible for project margins while collaborating with leadership, alliances, and technical teams to deliver on timelines. Project quality, financial results, and client satisfaction measure success.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership & Execution

• Own end-to-end delivery excellence for global product implementations, from scope definition and contracting to execution, governance, and project closure.
• Drive consistent project profitability through proactive planning, resource optimization, commercial discipline, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure all engagements meet quality, timeline, and financial expectations, with structured risk management and escalation processes.

Commercial & Financial Management

• Lead P&L responsibility for the delivery organization, including margin optimization, cost efficiency, and accurate revenue forecasting.
• Maintain healthy project margins through tight control of utilization, resourcing, and commercial decisions.

People Leadership & Capability Development

• Define the hiring strategy, workforce planning, and capability development roadmap for the Delivery team.
• Provide strong people leadership covering task allocation, performance management, leave/overtime approvals, billing validation, and improvement plans.
• Manage a blended workforce of employees, contractors, and partner resources, ensuring effective onboarding and performance alignment.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a senior delivery leader for international clients, fostering strategic alignment, building trust, and ensuring ongoing customer success.
• Address escalations swiftly and effectively to maintain customer satisfaction and restore confidence in the service.

Operational Governance

• Define, lead, and continually enhance Delivery Operations for the delivery team, including frameworks, SLAs, reporting, and compliance.
• Own delivery methodologies, SOPs, reusable assets, and knowledge repositories to ensure standardization and scalability.
• Lead the creation of engagement proposals, delivery models, and detailed project plans with clear timelines, risks, and dependencies.

Engagement Accountability

• Hold complete accountability for the success of every engagement—quality, delivery, financial outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
• Drive practice excellence, ensuring alignment between Product, Sales, Technology, and Delivery for seamless execution.

Must have:

• Strong delivery leadership experience managing large, complex global implementations.
• Expertise in SaaS/product implementation, enterprise integration frameworks, and project management methodologies.
• High commercial acumen with hands-on P&L ownership, margin optimisation, and forecasting.
• Strong stakeholder and C-suite engagement skills across international markets.
• Demonstrated capability in building delivery frameworks, governance models, and SOPs.
• Proven people leadership and team scaling experience across technical and consulting roles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience working with global teams and customers across multiple time zones.

Good to have

• Exposure to SAP ecosystem, MDM, data governance, or enterprise data platforms.
• Experience in product-based, high-growth technology organizations.
• Knowledge of ISO/SOC2 compliance frameworks and delivery documentation standards.
• Familiarity with agile delivery, DevOps concepts, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Pre-sales experience, including RFP/RFI responses and solution presentations.
• Strong ability to analyze operational KPIs and delivery metrics for executive reporting.
