Company Description

We are a collective of passionate filmmakers working across film, TV, and web/OTT at Mahi Kumar Films. We believe in true team craft, where every member's voice is valued. Our journey includes acclaimed shorts such as MUM (2017), Dakini (2021), and There Is No Human (2022), leading to our debut feature A Life Inside Me (2025, currently on the festival circuit). We provide comprehensive services from development to final delivery and are launching a vertical-content team focused on digital-first storytelling.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mumbai for a Filmmaker (Writer/Director/DOP–Producer). The role involves overseeing all aspects of film production, from initial concept through post-production. Daily tasks will include scriptwriting, directing, managing video production, coordinating with various production teams, and overseeing the post-production process to ensure high-quality deliverables. Collaborating with creative and production teams to bring projects to life is a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Film Direction and Scriptwriting
  • Experience in Film Production and Video Production
  • Proficiency in Post-Production processes
  • Strong leadership and team-collaboration capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Mumbai
  • Bachelor's degree in Filmmaking, Film Production, or a related field
  • Previous experience in the film industry is a strong advantage
