  • A Senior Packaging Executive requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and strong leadership abilities.
  • Key mandatory skills include proficiency in packaging materials and processes, knowledge of relevant regulations, and experience with packaging design software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are also essential for success in this role.
  • Supervise the entire packaging process of tablets and capsules, including blister, strip, and bottle packaging lines.
  • Operate and maintain various packaging machines such as blister pack machines and cartonators.
  • Handle both primary packaging (e.g., blister, bottle) and secondary packaging (e.g., cartons, outer boxes) processes effectively.
  • Monitor and manage packaging materials (foils, cartons, labels, etc.) and coordinate with the store department for timely replenishment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and production floor.
  • Ensure quality control checks during the packaging process, adhering to cGMP and other regulatory standards.
  • Package finished products efficiently and accurately as per production requirements.
  • Examine packed items to ensure quality standards, and check for defects or damage.
  • Verify product quantities, sizes, and specifications against packing slips, invoices, or work orders.
  • Gather and prepare appropriate packaging materials as per the product requirements.
  • Assemble containers ensuring proper sizing and protection of products.
  • Maintain accurate records of packed batches, material usage, and other documentation related to the packaging process.
  • Collaborate with production, quality control, and relevant teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic work environment, including use of PPE and cleanliness of the packaging area.
  • Train and guide packing staff on SOPs, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize packing processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce wastage.
  • Follow production guidelines and quality standards to maintain product integrity.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of both primary and secondary packaging processes, equipment operation, GMP, and SOPs.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any packaging-related issues to minimize downtime and rework.
