Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Control Lead to join our leadership team at Café Coffee Day (CCD) as we pursue a transformational growth journey. This role is pivotal in building a best-in-class control environment, refining operational processes, driving budgeting discipline, and partnering with operations for both revenue acceleration and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

· Business Process Excellence

· Map, document and critically evaluate existing business processes across functions (finance, supply chain, store operations, procurement, etc.)

· Identify gaps and redundancies; redesign and implement processes in line with industry best practices

· Set up SOPs and control checklists to institutionalize compliance and accountability

· Budgeting & Forecasting

· Design and implement the annual budgeting framework in coordination with function heads

· Own periodic forecasting and variance analysis processes (monthly/quarterly)

· Set up control dashboards and automated trackers to monitor performance

· Financial Planning & Business Controllership

· Act as a business partner to operations and store teams to support revenue maximization efforts (menu analytics, pricing, store promotions)

· Analyse product- and store-level profitability; identify improvement levers

· Lead cost-control initiatives across key spend heads – COGS, rentals, utilities, manpower, logistics

· Performance Monitoring

· Set up and manage a KPI-driven review mechanism across regions and functions

· Drive accountability through data-backed MIS reporting and early warning systems

· Support senior leadership with business insights, dashboards, and review packs

· Systems & Automation

· Drive digitization and automation of reporting and control processes

· Collaborate with Tech and MIS teams to implement and maintain performance tools

Ideal Candidate Profile

· CA or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute

· –10 years of relevant experience in business controlling, FP&A, or commercial finance roles

· Prior experience in the F&B / QSR / Café industry is a recommended

· Strong understanding of store operations, cost structures, and F&B dynamics

· Hands-on with financial modeling, budgeting tools, Excel, and BI platforms (Power BI / Tableau)

· Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills – ability to work with function heads and store teams alike

· High ownership mindset with a bias for action
