The Account Assistant is responsible for providing support to the accounting department by managing petty cash, processing sales transactions, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Petty Cash Management:
  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash transactions.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of petty cash expenditures.
  • Replenish petty cash as needed and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare petty cash reports and submit them to the accounting supervisor.
  • Sales Support:
  • Process sales transactions, including handling cash, credit card payments, and sales receipts.
  • Assist with invoicing and ensure timely and accurate billing to clients.
  • Handle customer inquiries related to sales and payment issues.
  • Maintain and update sales records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Accounting and Administrative Tasks:
  • Assist with data entry for accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
  • Assist with preparing financial reports and documentation as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filing, scanning, and photocopying documents.
  • Compliance and Controls:
  • Adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures to prevent fraud and errors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Perform other accounting-related tasks and administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Assist with audits and internal reviews as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10, ₹30,000.00 per month
