Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Innovation

  • Define and execute a comprehensive healthcare analytics strategy aligned with EXL's digital transformation goals and client needs.
  • Lead the development of AI/ML-powered solutions for population health, care management, claims analytics, and patient engagement.
  • Act as a thought leader in healthcare analytics, representing EXL in client forums, industry events, and strategic discussions.
  • Drive the adoption of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance clinical documentation, automate insights generation, and improve member engagement across healthcare workflows.
  • Collaborate with EXL's and client's Agentic IT platform teams to embed intelligent agents into healthcare operations, enabling real-time decision support, conversational analytics, and scalable automation.
  • Champion innovation by integrating GenAI into EXL's healthcare analytics offerings, transforming how clients interact with data and derive value from unstructured sources.

Client Engagement & Delivery Excellence

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders (CIOs, CMOs, CFOs), translating business challenges into data-driven solutions.
  • Oversee delivery of analytics programs across payer, provider, and pharmacy segments, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Co-create innovative solutions with clients to address regulatory, operational, and clinical challenges in the U.S. healthcare ecosystem.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and mentor a global team of data scientists, healthcare domain experts, and analytics professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence across delivery centers.
  • Collaborate with EXL's Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in AI, cloud, and digital to scale best practices and reusable assets.

Data & Technology Strategy

  • Drive cloud-based transformation of healthcare data ecosystems (Azure, AWS), ensuring scalability, security, and compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST).
  • Establish and enforce robust data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, privacy, and regulatory adherence.
  • Partner with product and technology teams to embed analytics into digital health platforms and client workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in healthcare analytics & AI, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of delivering analytics solutions for U.S. healthcare payers, providers, or pharmacy benefit managers.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare data (Claims, EHR, HEDIS, Medicare STARS, risk adjustment, Quality metrics, SDoH).
  • Strong experience with AI/ML, predictive modeling, NLP, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field; Master's or MBA preferred.

  • Experience working with large U.S. health plans, ACOs, or integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
  • Familiarity with value-based care models, CMS regulations, and healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7).

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
