Main Job Purpose:

The key contribution of BG Procurement (previously called Division/Category Procurement) is the BG Integration. You are the voice of Procurement to the partnering functions (Brands, SC, R&D), ensuring procurement representation in the strategic BG agenda and the voice of the BG within Procurement, translating Foods needs into procurement strategy across the totality of our agenda – Buy Better (financials), Buy responsibly (climate & nature agenda), Grow together (innovation & partnerships). You are in the great position of being able to see both sides and develop strong business acumen.

Key Accountabilities:

Buy Better:

• Support the BG profitability ambitions through enabling the delivery of the procurement financial targets through strong collaboration and alignment with R&D and SC.
• Support portfolios landing their NMI targets in-year and also the key initiatives highlighted in their longer term strategic plans.
• Influence building a healthy smart product plan funnel for long term value creation agenda
• Forecasting : Support for quarterly forecasting cycles to ensure smooth execution of Foods Forecasting cycle
• Be the procurement lead on senior BG Forums

Buy responsibly:

• Be the lead of the Foods Sustainable Sourcing, Regenerative Agriculture and Higher Animal Welfare agenda.
• Climate agenda : Support climate agenda with the being the face of BG procurement, and driving progress across key pillars
• Drive sustainable packaging roadmaps and PCR availability for Foods. Support the packaging strategy creation and execution
• Bring external-in: follow up continuously where the industry players are doing in this space

Grow together:

• Partnership agenda : Support BG and procurement ambitions for step up in partnerships to leverage partnership agenda for superior growth ambitions, led by partner driven innovations
• Pricing and Profitability considerations : Support BG leadership with right pricing considerations basis material inflation and savings plan, along with key enablers to demonstrate competitive advantage
• Translate Foods innovation strategy and plans to procurement actions and engage on the job to be done with portfolio and market teams.
• Provide insights (pricing, risk assessment, capacity etc.) to BG innovation.
• Play leadership role in enabling the BIG BETS for Foods procurement, and driving the transformation agenda

Talent management:

Develop Key talent in the procurement function through landing transformation, sharing best practices and bringing insights from the external world.

Professional Skills:

There is preferred candidate for this position.

High level of understanding of portfolios, markets and financials

Good track record in impactful stakeholder management

High level of communication and influencing skills

High track record of external network

Experience Required:

ESSENTIAL

University degree

At least 5-8 years experience in Procurement

Working in multi-cultural environment

Experience on driving large-scale change management projects

Travel: As required
