Factory Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a competent and hands-on Factory Manager to lead and oversee daily operations at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in production planning, sound engineering knowledge, and the ability to manage administrative, HR, and statutory compliance responsibilities.
This is a critical leadership role in a growing company, requiring a well-rounded individual who can optimize plant operations while ensuring discipline, safety, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Operations
Plan and execute daily/weekly/monthly production schedules in alignment with sales and dispatch requirements
Monitor production KPIs such as output, yield, downtime, and quality
Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and materials
Coordinate with procurement, stores, quality control, and dispatch teams
Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cost
2. Engineering & Technical Oversight
Supervise machinery, tools, utilities, and preventive maintenance schedules
Troubleshoot and resolve shop floor issues (mechanical/electrical/instrumentation)
Drive new equipment installations or factory expansion projects
Ensure proper documentation of machine parameters, breakdown logs, and repairs
Support product engineering or R&D with manufacturing inputs
3. Admin, HR & Team Management
Oversee attendance, shift scheduling, and discipline across factory staff and workers
Coordinate with HR for recruitment, training, and performance reviews of shop floor staff
Maintain a productive and safe work environment
Handle grievances, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives
Ensure upkeep of facility, housekeeping, and infrastructure
4. Statutory Compliance
Ensure adherence to labour laws, factory act, EHS norms, and all statutory requirements
Liaise with government authorities for inspections, renewals, and audits
Maintain and update all statutory registers, licenses, and documentation
Ensure fire safety, emergency preparedness, and occupational health measures are in place
Key Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering (preferred)
8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 35 years in a factory leadership role
Strong understanding of production systems, manpower management, and statutory frameworks
Working knowledge of MS Office, ERP, and maintenance software tools
Familiarity with ISO, Lean, or TPM practices is a plus
