Contract Opportunity | Remote. General Shifts. Job Description : Job Title : Senior SAP Basis & Security Technical Architect (BTP Focus).

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Basis & Security Technical Architect to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our complex SAP landscape, with a strong emphasis on leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This role requires deep expertise in SAP Basis and Security architecture, coupled with a proven track record in utilizing BTP services to enhance system functionality and security. The ideal candidate will possess 18-20 years of experience, demonstrating strategic decision-making and technical leadership.

Responsibilities : . SAP Basis Architecture & Administration : .

• Design and maintain the overall SAP Basis architecture, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
• Lead complex SAP system upgrades, migrations, and implementations, including S/4HANA transformations.
• Develop and implement best practices for system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Manage and optimize SAP system resources, including memory, CPU, and storage.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Automate routine Basis tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

SAP Security Architecture & Implementation : .

• Design and implement comprehensive SAP security architectures, including role-based access control (RBAC), authorization management, and data encryption.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (i.e., GDPR, SOX).
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
• Lead security incident response and remediation efforts.
• Implement security best practices with SAP Solution manager.

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Expertise : .

• Architect and implement SAP BTP solutions to extend and enhance SAP functionality.
• Utilize BTP services for security enhancements, including identity management and access control.
• Leverage BTP services to enhance monitoring and observability of the SAP landscape.
• Design and implement security solutions for SAP BTP applications and services.
• Provide guidance and support for developers on SAP BTP development and deployment.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest SAP BTP features and capabilities.
• Utilize BTP to create more secure and efficient methods of system administration.

Landscape Decision-Making :

• Make critical architectural decisions regarding system design, technology selection, and security strategies.
• Develop and implement long-term strategic roadmaps for the SAP landscape.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and best practices to optimize performance, security, and scalability.

Leadership & Collaboration :

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior Basis and Security team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, functional consultants, and business stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on SAP technology and architecture.

Integration :

• Basic understanding of SAP integration patterns, and ability to work with teams that are responsible for integration.

Qualifications :

• 18-20 years of extensive experience in SAP Basis and Security architecture.
• Proven ability to make strategic architectural decisions and lead complex SAP initiatives.
• Deep expertise in SAP BTP, particularly in relation to security and system management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Solution Manager, and relevant databases (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing robust security architectures.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Relevant SAP certifications are highly desirable.
• Experience with DevOps and ITIL frameworks.
