Position Title: Business Development Manager Mattress
Department: Sales & Business Development
Location: Karnataka (Handling stores across the state)
Experience Required: 69 years (Retail Sales; Mattress/Furniture category preferred)
Reports To: Head - Mattress
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager Mattress will be responsible for driving sales, training, and operations for the mattress category across Royaloak stores in Karnataka. The role demands a strong understanding of retail sales, category management, and the ability to train and motivate store teams to deliver consistent results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales performance for the mattress category across all assigned stores.
- Generate leads, track conversions, and achieve revenue targets.
- Identify new growth opportunities and ensure consistent business expansion in the category.
2. Category & Store Operations
- Monitor stock levels, replenishment, and timely availability of products.
- Coordinate with supply chain and vendors for stock planning and inventory management.
- Ensure effective merchandising and in-store visibility for the mattress category.
3. Training & Capability Building
- Conduct product and sales training for store staff to enhance category knowledge.
- Ensure store teams are equipped to explain product benefits, features, and customer value.
- Regularly evaluate and refresh training modules to improve customer experience.
4. Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with the store operations team, supply chain, and marketing for seamless execution.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure timely product availability and promotional support.
Key Requirements
- 69 years of experience in retail sales/business development.
- Experience in mattress category highly preferred; furniture retail experience is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of retail sales processes, customer engagement, and store operations.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and training skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stores across Karnataka (travel required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
