Position: US Payroll Assistant Manager Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu(5 day/week)/ Noida UP Duration: Full TimeNotice Period: Max 60 days
Salary: 8-18 LPA (Depending on level of experience)Work mode: 5 days/week
Shift hours: 3 pm -12 pm/ 4 pm -1 pm Level of experience: 8+ YearsNeed to be 100% individual contributor Looking only Corporate US Payroll process Please do not apply if you are from Operation/ Client based Payroll process FUNCTION:The Payroll Supervisor coordinates, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the Payroll Department and is responsible for ensuring that the payrolls conform to company and statutory requirements. The position ensures that payroll information is maintained in a secure and controlled environment. The ability to work in a team environment and execute individual tasks while maintaining a positive and outgoing attitude, are critical components to this role.
This position demands strong attention to detail and the ability to plan and organize effectively. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must. The position reports to the Controller and works collaboratively with members of Human Resources and Operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervisory Manage the day-to-day duties of the Payroll AdministratorPayroll Process Mastech home office payroll in accordance with internal policies and procedures andIRS guidelines Liaison with employees, Mastech HR and ADP to resolve Payroll and Tax issues Oversee issuance and recovery of employee advances Review and update SOX policies and procedures as required Provide payroll information to outside parties for unemployment claims and tax return preparation
General Ledger Prepare various journal entries and accruals that support the payroll function Reconcile payroll-related Balance Sheet accounts
Other Manage Mastech 401-K program Prepare various internal reports as required Liaison with outside auditors as required Ensure compliance with all SOX related processes and proceduresQUALIFICATIONS:Required: Bachelors Degree Minimum of 7 years experience in related field Supervisory experience
Preferred: ADP experience Certified Payroll Professional designation Experience with PeopleSoft/ERP systems
