Key responsibilities

  • GST Compliance: Prepare and file monthly/quarterly/annual GST returns (e.g., GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) accurately and on time. Manage input tax credit claims and ensure timely payment of GST.
  • TDS & TCS: Handle the deduction, payment, and filing of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and Tax Collected at Source (TCS).
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including the reconciliation of bank statements, vendor ledgers, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Auditing and Reporting: Assist with internal and external audits, prepare financial reports for management, and help maintain tax-related records and accounts.
  • Tax Advisory: Provide guidance on the GST implications of business transactions and stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant and efficient.
  • Software and Tools: Manage accounting transactions and processes using accounting software, such as Tally.

Required qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accounting with strong exposure to GST compliance. A minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred for some senior roles.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting and tax software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
