Summary:

We're looking for a skilled Store Manager to oversee all inventory and logistics for a solar project. You'll manage materials from delivery to installation, ensuring everything is on hand when needed. This role is key to keeping the project on schedule and within budget. We need someone with a strong background in store management, an understanding of electrical components, and experience in a fast-paced construction (EPC) environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Control & Stock Management

  • Precision Inventory Control: Track, monitor, and manage all solar project materials (panels, inverters, cables, mounting, etc.).
  • Stock Integrity: Conduct regular, accurate physical counts, reconcile records, and investigate/report all discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Material Organis ation: Oversee the proper receipt, inspection, and safe keeping of all incoming project components within the designated storage area.

2. Material Movement & Coordination

  • Demand Forecasting & Planning: Collaborate with Project/Site Managers to accurately anticipate future material needs and prevent stock-outs or project delays.
  • Material Issuance: Efficiently issue components to site construction teams as needed, based strictly on approved requests and the project schedule.

3. Reporting & Documentation

  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous and auditable records of all material transactions (Goods Receipt Notes, Issue Slips, Consumption Reports) using the designated inventory system.
  • Performance Reporting: Generate and present accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock status, consumption rates, and material availability to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Any degree or diploma in a relevant field.
  • Minimum Experience: 5-8 years in store management, store operations, material management

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Technical Acumen: Demonstrable working knowledge and understanding of electrical and mechanical components common in utility-scale solar projects.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues and material shortages under pressure.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, site teams, and management.
