We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Engineer to lead our quality assurance efforts and manage a growing team of testers. This role combines hands-on testing expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring our software products meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and user experience. You will work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Allocate tasks, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of testing milestones across multiple projects.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and support career development for team members.
- Champion best practices in QA and drive process improvements across the team.
Quality Assurance Strategy
- Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, and standards aligned with product goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Development, DevOps) to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
- Own the defect management process, ensuring timely identification, reporting, and resolution of issues.
Test Design & Execution
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Maintain and enhance automated test frameworks and tools.
- Analyse test results, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Metrics & Reporting
- Track and report key QA metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and release readiness.
- Present quality status and risk assessments to stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software QA, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Work Location
- Hybrid Work Model: This is a hybrid position, requiring you to work in the Bengaluru office 3 times per week.
