We are seeking a highly skilled Lead QA Engineer with 5 – 7 years of experience who thrives in a dynamic and unstructured environment and can bring order to chaos, finding a method in the madness. Nothing will be handed over but the candidate will be expected to create their own path and solutions, driving projects from scratch with initiative and resourcefulness.

Requirement

The Lead QA Engineer at Brilyant, will drive the quality strategy across our product development lifecycle. The candidate will lead test planning, automation efforts, and QA team coaching to ensure we consistently deliver high-quality software. This role bridges the gap between development, product, and operations with a focus on maintaining reliability in complex enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a small team of QA engineers to uphold rigorous testing standards
  • Define and enforce test strategies, plans, and best practices in collaboration with Product & Development teams
  • Architect and evolve automated test frameworks for web, API, and mobile platforms
  • Oversee daily test execution, defect tracking, and quality metrics reporting
  • Participate in sprint reviews, release planning, and regression testing cycles
  • Drive enhancements in CI/CD pipelines with integrated QA workflows
  • Troubleshoot issues across staging and production environments
  • Manage QA roadmap, set quality goals, and conduct routine process retrospectives
Must Have Skills:
  • 5???7 years in software quality assurance, with a hands-on background in test automation and team management
  • Strong experience with testing frameworks like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or equivalent
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA??
  • Knowledge of API and database testing strategies
  • Proficient in test automation tools such as Selenium Web driver, and Selenium Grid.
  • Working knowledge of Web Service Concepts, JavaScript and/or Java, JSON/XML
  • Proficient in Unit test frameworks such as TestNG/POM/Paje Factory etc.
  • Strong background and experience in manual testing concepts, methodologies, and SDLC models.
  • Experience in REST API testing and API automation.
