Role/Position : PMS Manager

Department : Data Team/ PMS ( For Vessel PMS Module Data building)

About JiBe:

JiBe is a cloud-based fully integrated ERP system for the shipping industry. Our goal is to allow shipping companies to improve productivity, efficiency, and safety levels, while reducing costs. JiBe ERP enables increased automation and streamlining processes, creating pre-defined workflows and reducing the usage of email and paper.

Job responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of all vessel data building aspects including spare parts, machinery and jobs (PMS and CMS)
  • Analyzing and documenting various aspect of the PMS
  • Understanding and documenting client requirements regarding data building (PMS and other modules)
  • Analyze tasks requirements (required data, resources and missing information to be provided by the client) and communicating it to the project team
  • Analyze and clarify the work scope and timeline for data building tasks and communicating them to the project team
  • Report and ensure the team reports on the project management platforms (Wrike) – projects and tasks statuses
  • Perform quality checks on all work produced by the data team
  • Lead the following vessel data building efforts:
  • Manual's extractions
  • Database migration
  • Database/ data sources consolidation
  • Lead the data building teams in their daily tasks professionally
  • Ensure the data building teams maintain the required quality standards as set by the company
  • Maintain the uniformity and quality of the data extracted and created by the data team during all data building projects
  • Planning projects and task allocations to the data team leads in order to meet the data building goals and timelines as set by the company and the department manager
  • Keep track of daily team productivity
  • Assist in recruiting and training all data team members
  • Maintain and enforce the JiBe policies, standards, culture and work ethic into all data team members
  • Possess an understanding of other shipping practices as required to perform additional data building tasks such as inspections, vetting inspections, crew handover reports and risk assessment forms
  • Analyzing gaps between the user requirements and JiBe features and provide input to the JiBe team
  • Contribute in training to internal/external JiBe users on PMS and related modules whenever required

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 10+years of experience managing data building projects and teams in the shipping industry, including spares and jobs extraction from manuals
  • Marine engineering background is a plus
  • Experience and deep understanding of the enterprise computing needs of ship management companies
  • Strong organizational skills covering project management and cost analysis
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Self-motivated, independent and meticulous with an eye for detail.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
