Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced
Solution Consultant with Industrial Automation knowledge to support ML applications and Predictive Analytics
to support digital transformation initiatives in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial operations, predictive maintenance, and data-driven problem solving using machine learning techniques. This is an
onsite role based in Hyderabad
with
occasional travel to Abu Dhabi
and a flexible
notice period of up to 3 months
.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop
    predictive analytics modules
    for equipment and asset health monitoring using machine learning approaches.
  • Work with historical equipment and process data to build models for
    anomaly detection
    ,
    failure prediction
    , and
    performance forecasting
    .
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure analytics models align with real-world O&G workflows.
  • Integrate predictive modules into
    existing maintenance and monitoring systems
    , ensuring compatibility and data flow.
  • Support data ingestion and processing from plant systems, historians, or external sources using tools like
    SQL
    ,
    SSRS
    ,
    PowerShell
    ,
    APIs
    etc.
  • Develop custom tools and scripts using
    C#
    ,
    .NET
    , or
    Python
    for automation and integration needs.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure high data quality and governance in line with operational requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4–8 years of experience
    in predictive analytics, industrial data systems, or maintenance analytics.
  • Strong domain knowledge of Oil & Gas operations
    – upstream, midstream, or downstream.
  • Practical understanding of
    maintenance strategies
    (e.g., preventive, predictive, condition-based).
  • Experience working with
    machine learning models
    for industrial use cases (anomaly detection, forecasting, etc.).
  • Familiarity with tools such as
    AVEVA Predictive Analytics (APA/PRiSM)
    or
    SmartSignal
    (PRiSM experience is
    not mandatory
    ).
  • Proficiency in
    SQL
    ,
    SSRS
    ,
    C#
    ,
    .NET Framework
    , and scripting tools like
    PowerShell
    .
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, especially when engaging with cross-functional teams.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Instrumentation Engineering
  • Or a related technical field

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus):

  • Experience integrating analytics models with AVEVA ecosystem or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to cloud or edge analytics platforms for industrial applications.
  • Experience deploying models in production environments using standard MLOps practices.
