As a Business Development Manager in Erigo, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our client base within the events industry. You will lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to generate revenue and foster long-term relationships with clients. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in sales, business development, and a deep understanding of the events management sector.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve sales targets and expand market presence in the industry.
Identify and prioritize potential clients, prospects, and partnership opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular communication, meetings, and presentations.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales collateral, proposals, and presentations tailored to the needs of potential clients.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote the company's services and establish valuable connections.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of events and exceptional service delivery to clients.
Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends to senior management.
Continuously seek ways to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in events industry is a mandate.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of success in sales, business development, or account management within the events management industry.
- Strong understanding of event planning processes, logistics, and industry trends. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for exceeding targets. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and any CRM software.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
