Role & responsibilities:

IT Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory of all IT assets (laptops, desktops, servers, network devices, peripherals, software licenses).
  • Track asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal.
  • Ensure assets are tagged, recorded, and updated in the IT Asset Management system.

Procurement & Allocation

  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors for IT asset purchases.
  • Allocate IT assets to employees as per approvals.
  • Maintain asset handover and acknowledgement records.

Software & License Management

  • Track software licenses and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor license usage and renewal dates.
  • Prevent unauthorized software installations.

Audits & Compliance

  • Conduct periodic IT asset audits and physical verifications.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and external audits.
  • Prepare audit reports and discrepancy resolutions.

Employee Lifecycle Support

  • Manage IT asset issuance during onboarding.
  • Ensure asset recovery during employee exits (F&F coordination).
  • Support internal transfers and role changes.

Maintenance & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate repairs, replacements, and warranty claims.
  • Liaise with OEMs and service providers.
  • Track AMC, warranty, and service records.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare MIS reports on asset utilization, aging, and costs.
  • Maintain SOPs, asset policies, and documentation.
  • Support management with data for budgeting and planning.
