Mechanical R&D Design Engineer

Location: Hubli, Karnataka

Experience: 2-8 Years

About This Role

We're looking for crazy mechanical minds who love building real stuff — not just drawing lines on a screen.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll work on actual hardware from day one — designing, prototyping, testing, and breaking things that the Armed Forces might use tomorrow. You'll be part of the R&D team behind our next-gen defence products, contributing to everything from sketches to field tests.

This is your shot to do real engineering on real machines with real impact.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Brainstorm & sketch concepts based on first principles (we don't do copy-paste design).
  • Design 3D models and detailed mechanical parts using SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
  • Rapid prototype using 3D printers, CNCs, and other tools in our in-house R&D lab.
  • Work closely with electronics and software teams to bring hardware to life.
  • Break your designs, fix them fast, and learn even faster.

We want people who:

→ Solve problems from first principles

→ Love working on real hardware

→ Are obsessed with building cool stuff

Must-Haves:

  • BE in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and simulation tools (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus).
  • Passion for hands-on projects — show us what you've built
  • Strong fundamentals in mechanics, materials and machining processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Big Plus if You:

  • Were part of college aeromodelling / motorsports / robotics clubs
  • Have competed in events like SAE, Robowars, Formula Student, etc.
  • Have built stuff that went boom, flew, or moved like hell
