  1. Manage design and development projects from concept to production readiness, including the creation of 2D/3D models, BOMs, and technical documentation. The role supports cross functional coordination with production, quality, and planning teams, and ensures successful execution of customer and internal development projects.

  2. Create and manage 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for sheet metal components such as cabins, tanks, hoppers, ducts, bus parts, etc.

  3. Develop manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications as per customer requirements.

  4. Revise and control drawings/documents based on ECNs (Engineering Change Notes).

  5. Validate designs through feasibility, manufacturability, and cost studies.

  6. Plan and execute engineering projects from RFQ stage to SOP (Start of Production).

  7. Coordinate with customers for design inputs, approvals, and technical clarifications.

  8. Track and report project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

  9. Ensure timely completion of proto builds, validation, and handover to production.

  10. Work with Production, Quality, and Planning to ensure design intent is translated accurately on the shop floor.

  11. Support process engineering with fixture, jig, and tool design data.

  12. Ensure alignment between customer specifications and internal processes.

  13. Identify and implement design improvements for cost reduction, weight optimization, and manufacturing ease.

  14. Participate in VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) initiatives and propose alternate materials or designs.

  15. Support quality and production in resolving product-related issues.

16.Maintain design database and ensure version control in design files.

  1. Prepare and maintain technical documentation including DFMEAs, DAPs, and drawings as per ISO standards.

  2. Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements for design documentation
