Our data mart and warehouse platform, primarily built on Snowflake, integrates data from multiple systems and platforms to enable insightful reporting and analytics. As we continue to evolve, we are looking to build a strong development team to enhance and optimize our data operations. Role Overview We are seeking a Data Warehouse QA Engineer to support the development and maintenance of our Snowflake data warehouse.

This role will be responsible for defining and executing testing strategies, identifying data quality issues, and implementing robust validation processes. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure that our data products meet high standards of accuracy, performance, and compliance. Must also work closely with all technical areas of the business as well as client facing teams and ensure that all solution and proposition deliveries are being fit for purpose, designed in-line with the overall company's technology strategy in mind, and delivered on time and budget, satisfying client requirements and the market need.

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement testing strategies for Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions. Perform ETL/ELT testing, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple data sources. Define and execute data validation and reconciliation processes.

Automate data quality checks and anomaly detection using SQL and scripting tools. Conduct performance testing and ensure that query optimizations meet business requirements. Work closely with data engineers and analysts to validate transformations, mappings, and data models.

Identify and document data quality issues, collaborating with developers to resolve them. Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies. Maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data warehouse solutions.

Contribute to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing. Monitor production data pipelines and proactively identify potential issues. Key Skills & Experience Experience in data warehouse and ETL testing, preferably with Snowflake or similar platforms.

Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and validating data transformations. Knowledge of data quality frameworks, validation techniques, and best practices. Understanding of data modelling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault).

Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (Python, Java, or similar). Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and their data integration mechanisms. Hands-on experience with performance testing and query optimization.

Exposure to data governance, compliance, and security best practices. Ability to collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business users to define and execute test cases. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Desirable Skills Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated data testing and validation. Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and related tools (dbt, Matillion, Talend, Informatica, etc.). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data services.

Experience in monitoring and observability tools for data pipelines.
